Do You Eat Muffins in Paris Yes or No Easy Step by Step Paris Drawings Poodles
10 things you MUST EAT in Paris! Pin this for a fabulous list of places to eat. Includes addresses and phone numbers so you can easily find them on your trip.
Today I'm sharing my favorite foods from my recent trip to Paris with Amanda , Lauren and Sommer . We ate a TON, as you expect 4 food bloggers to do on a trip.
I've narrowed it down to 10. It was hard, but I did it!
I got SO hungry writing this post. I told Chicken Legs that we MUST go back to Paris soon!
I have included links to all my favorites so you can check them out when you are in Paris.
1. Croissants
You can't go to Paris without having at least one croissant.
In my case, I think I ate at least one croissant every day!
Croissants are available everywhere in Paris, and they are all delicious!
2. Hot Chocolate
Hot Chocolate in Paris is a real treat!
It is more like drinking melted chocolate as opposed to a chocolate and cream mixture here in The States.
The hot collocate in Paris has a lot more chocolate and a lot less cream (if any).
My standard breakfast was a croissant and a cup of hot chocolate.
We tried hot chocolate at several places. My favorites were at Cafe Saint Regis and Les Deux Magots.
We also ate some delicious food at both places and loved it.
We did brunch at Cafe Saint Regis – SO good.
They serve brunch on Sunday.
They have delicious french toast and an amazing burger!
We also had breakfast at Les Deux Magots – I'm sharing my favorite later on the list.

3. Kouign Amann
A what? Kouign Amann is a round crusty cake, made with bread dough containing layers of butter and sugar folded in, similar in fashion to croissant. The resulting cake is slowly baked until the butter puffs up the dough and the sugar caramelizes.
Or simply – amazing!
We tried several Kouign Amann and our two favorites were at Ladurée and Maison Georges Larnicol.
Maison Georges Larnicol kouign amann are smaller and they have lots of different flavors – I loved them all! I especially loved the orange and almond ones.
Do not miss this treat!

4. Macarons
Macarons are a must in Paris.
Everyone has an opinion as to which famous bakery has the best.
To be honest, they are all very good in Paris.
Our two favorites were Pierre Hermé and Ladurée.
Pierre Hermé has more exotic, adventurous flavors.
Ladurée is more main stream, classic flavors.
We loved different ones from each place.
My favorite from Pierre Hermé was the creme brûlée. (My favorite overall as well)
My favorite from Ladurée was the salted caramel.

5. Napoleon Dessert
This Napoleon was one of the best desserts I had in Paris.
A Napoleon is pastry creme layered between puff pasty sheets.
I literally inhaled this! It was amazing!
We had the Napoleon after an amazing meal at Restaurant Le Duc.
Le Duc is a seafood restaurant and one of the best in Paris.
All the food was out of this world delicious. Best seafood we've ever eaten!
Make sure to save room for that Napoleon – I'm still thinking about it!

6. Soufflé
I think soufflé in Paris is a must.
We had one of the best ever at Restaurant Astier in Paris.
Their Grand Marnier soufflé was amazing! So light and fluffy.
It was the best I've ever eaten.
Astier only serves two of these soufflés each night.
Make sure to put in your request for it when you make your reservation.
You don't want to miss it!

7. Croque Monsieur or Madame
A Croque Monsieur is my go-to French food.
You can't go wrong with a delicious ham and cheese sandwich.
I ate my fair share of Croque Monsieur sandwiches in Paris, and my favorite Croque was at Les Deux Magots.
All the bistro's serve Croque Monsieur and Croque Madames for breakfast and lunch.

8. Pizza
Pizza in Paris? YES!!!
We found the best pizza in a tiny restaurant in Paris, La Braciola.
It is definitely not a tourist place. No one spoke English!
We did a lot of pointing and gesturing. LOL!
The pizza was Neapolitan style and some of the best I've had.
My favorite pizza was the caprese pizza – can't beat Mozzarella di Bufala.
This was a nice break from all the French food we had eaten.
It also doesn't hurt that pizza is my absolute favorite food!
I was a happy, happy camper at this lunch!
Don't skip on the Burrata to start. SOOO good!

9. Praline Brioche
This Praline Brioche was my favorite!!
The pink things are chocolate covered hazelnuts. The pink is just sugar coating the nuts.
This is a MUST! We stumbled upon this amazing treat on our way to the Eiffel Tower.
I loved everything about this bread. I could have eaten a giant loaf myself.
Someone in the US needs to make this ASAP so I can buy it all the time!
Get this to snack on while you are in Paris. You won't be disappointed!

10. Ice Cream
Our apartment was right next to the most famous ice cream shop in Paris – Berthillon.
People were lined up at all hours of the day.
Yes, the ice cream is that good!!
If you don't want to wait in line, no worries!
Berthillon is served all over Paris.
There were about 5 places within 2 or 3 blocks of the famous location to get the same exact ice cream.
We got it once at the famous location and then went to the other locations for our afternoon pick me up.
I loved their vanilla and salted caramel ice cream.
Wishing they sold this at the grocery store in The States!
