Love Me, Love Me Not (Japanese: 思い、思われ、ふり、ふられ, Hepburn: Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare ) [3] is a Japanese shōjo manga written and illustrated by Io Sakisaka and serialized in Bessatsu Margaret starting in June 2015. A live-action movie adaptation opened in Nippon on Baronial fourteen, 2020, while an anime moving-picture show accommodation produced past A-ane Pictures premiered on September 18, 2020.[4] Viz Media licensed the manga in English under their Shojo Beat imprint. The kickoff volume was released in March 2020.[5]

Yuna Ichihara is in the spring earlier her first year of loftier school and is pained to be separated from her best friend Sacchan who is moving away. On her manner to the train station, she is stopped by a random girl who asks her for money for her railroad train fare. A shy girl who loves to read romance shōjo manga,[8] only has never experienced dear herself. Her best friend, Sacchan, moves away after they graduate eye school, and Yuna worries that she volition be solitary in high school.[9] All the same, when she unexpectedly meets Akari at the train station and befriends her. Due to Yuna's wary and shy personality, she is initially suspicious of Akari following her home, when they are actually but neighbors in the same apartment building. She is in love with Rio, Akari's step-brother. She confesses the offset time merely is rejected due to Rio's beloved for Akari. He and Akari both develop feelings for each other, but he rejects her confession out of consideration for Rio'south feelings. After he finds out Rio has moved on, he confesses to Akari. He faces some trouble when Akari'southward ex-boyfriend comes dorsum into the picture and especially so when Akari decides to move to America, just he asks her to wait for him. Alive-action film [edit]

A live-action film directed by Takahiro Miki was released on August fourteen, 2020. Information technology stars Eiji Akaso as Kazuomi Inui and Minami Hamabe every bit Akari Yamamoto. Volume three debuted at #4 on Oricon'due south Japanese Comic Ranking[23] and peaked at #2[24] and sold an estimated 325,010 copies in Japan.[25] Book 4 debuted at #1 and sold an estimated 168,863 copies in its offset week alone.[26] It sold an estimated 293,419 copies in a month and consistently ranked from October to November.[27] Volume 4 debuted with 168,863 copies.[28] Volume 5 debuted at #6, selling 110,175 copies[29] in its starting time week and peaking at #one in its second week with 121,903 boosted copies sold.[30]

The manga won the 2017 Shogakukan Manga Award in the shojo manga category.[31]
